Frameless corner glass shelf for shower screen

There are an enormous number of shower screens to choose from. From luxury, high price screens to low-cost plastic screens. So how do you find the best screen for your bathroom?

At the cheaper end of the scale you will find shower screens and shower bath screens that are made with visual appeal in mind. While they may look good they are often manufacured from cheap materials and components. Cheap shower screens often have flimsy frames that don’t last and they may leak.

At the expensive end of the scale you will find screens that use top quality, toughened glass with high quality, corrosion resistant metal frames that can be adjusted to fit a variety of baths and showers.

The very first thing to consider is what will fit your bath or shower. You may find that your choices are limited to shower bath screens from only one manufacturer. If possible I recommend that you visit a showroom where you can see a range of bathroom suites and screens displayed. Give each a thorough test and be certain that you are happy with the opening and closing, the finish and how they feel.

I always recommend toughened glass over plastic. Plastic can quickly become scratched and dull whereas glass wil stay good for many years.

You need to be certain that toughened glass is used. But don’t be persuaded by the thickness of the safety glass. The important factor is that the glass is toughened and certified for use in the bathroom. Thick glass shower screens can cost a lot more but they are also much heavier and more difficult to install.

I recommend that you go for the best quality you can afford as cheaper screens will tend to need replacement sooner. I recommend spending a little more cash and getting the best quality screen you can afford.
