You Must Have One at the Bakery

I bought a Torrey lpc-40l scale for my bakery and I must say I couldn’t be happier with its performance. Working in a bakery seems like it would be an easy job. You just come in early, throw some stuff in the oven, and make money selling delicious cookies, cakes, and pies to the adoring public. It is actually a very demanding job that requires you to wake up in the middle of the night, get to the store by three in the morning, and then spend hours mixing and baking at a furious pace so you’re ready for the morning rush.

It also requires you to have an excellent scale. I spend so much of my time weighing things out, whether it is ingredients to make our treat or making sure the weight is on the package of each item. You would be amazed at how many people look closely at the weight of a box of cookies or a four pack of muffins. I think it has a lot to do with the focus on healthy eating these days. People want their treats, but they’re also worried about how much they are eating. They should worry about the carbs.

But we’re also required by law to have that weight on the box and that is where having an accurate scale is a necessity. I was impressed with the durability and accuracy of this scale and it worked perfectly right out of the box. It is also easy to clean and that is important after you have been putting all sorts of food items on it constantly all day and well into the afternoon. After using it for a few weeks, I could never go back to the clunky old thing I used before. This scale is the real deal.
